Alexander Ortwine

As a senior in Game Development at Lawrence Technological University, I am pursuing my passion for gaming and game design. I am completing my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a concentration in Game Design while learning object-oriented programming, design and development of games, and mastering industry-standard tools. During my time as a student I have been able to collaborate on various projects, honing my skills in teamwork, project and time management, and creative problem solving.I have also been a part of the LTU Esports team, serving as Team Captain for the League of Legends team, as well as competed in multiple tournaments and events. This experience has enhanced my leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and ability to perform under pressure.I am excited to apply my knowledge and creative ideas to game design projects, and aim to create immersive and creative experiences for players around the world. I look forward to contributing to the field of game development and continuing to grow as a developer.

Summary: Lone Labyrinth 2 is a Top-Down Action RPG with visual novel elements and is a prequel to the first game in which it follows the protagonist, Leora, through events throughout the world of Isen.This is a single player story based game that continues to emphasize player decision and molds the story around the decisions that are made throughout the game.

Summary: Lone Labyrinth is a Top-Down Turn-Based RPG with visual novel elements that follows the protagonist, Alan, through a liches tower attempting to regroup his former party members or kill them to gain their powers. The art style is inspired by early 90s graphics, specifically the SNES and Sega Genesis.This is a single player story based game that emphasizes player decision and molds the story around the decisions that are made throughout the game.In this project I programmed all of the Overworld/Level mechanics, and was in charge of the creation and design of the four levels.

Summary: In this board game you are a business owner hoping to expand your business across the globe! Build and upgrade your Stores to increase revenue and surpass your opponents in 15 rounds.In this project I worked with my group members to conceptualize and finalize the rules, mechanics, and design of the board game as well as thoroughly playtest each mechanic to try to achieve a balance of game mechanics such as rate of gain of resources, turn management and length, game duration, and cost of resources.
